षट्कर्मम् — {karmam} n. the six duties of Brāhmans (viz. {adhyayana}, 'studying or repeating the Veda', {adhyāpana}, 'teaching the Veda', {yajana} 'offering sacrifices', {yājana}', conducting them for others', {dāna}, 'giving', and {pratigraha}, accepting gifts'), ŚāṅkhG. r. &c.
